How does Automotive Scrapyard work?
An automotive scrapyard, also known as a salvage yard, is a facility where end-of-life vehicles are dismantled and parts are recycled or resold. The process begins when a vehicle is brought to the scrapyard, often due to it being damaged beyond repair or not cost-effective to fix. Upon arrival, the vehicle is evaluated, and the usable parts are removed and cataloged for resale. Fluids and hazardous materials are properly disposed of following environmental regulations. The remaining structure is compacted and sent to metal recycling facilities. Scrapyards play a critical role in reducing waste and promoting the reuse of automotive components.
