How does Automotive Scrapyard work?
How does an automotive scrapyard work?
An automotive scrapyard, also known as a salvage yard or junkyard, functions as a specialized facility where decommissioned, wrecked, or otherwise non-functional vehicles are processed. The process typically starts with the acquisition of vehicles, which can be sourced from auctions, insurance companies, or private owners. Once vehicles arrive, they are evaluated for parts that can be reused or resold. Usable parts are carefully dismantled, cleaned, and cataloged for sale, either at the scrapyard or through online platforms. The remaining metal body of the vehicle is crushed and sent to recycling centers for scrap metal processing. This process not only helps in recycling and reusing valuable vehicle parts but also ensures environmentally responsible disposal of automotive waste.
