How does Metal Recycling work?
Metal recycling begins with the collection and sorting of metal waste from various sources like households, industries, and businesses. The collected metals are then categorized based on type, such as ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Next, these metals are cleaned to remove contaminants. The cleaned metals are then shredded into smaller pieces to facilitate the melting process. Following shredding, the metals are melted in large furnaces at high temperatures specific to the type of metal being processed. Melted metals are then poured into molds to form new metal products for further processing, such as the production of aluminum cans or steel beams. This process not only conserves natural resources but also saves energy compared to extracting new metals from ore.
