Automotive Scrapyard FAQ
How does an automotive scrapyard work?
An automotive scrapyard processes unwanted or end-of-life vehicles by dismantling them, salvaging usable parts, and recycling the remaining materials. Vehicles are first evaluated for parts that can be resold. Usable parts are carefully removed and cleaned for resale to individuals or auto repair shops. The remaining vehicle frame and non-reusable components are then crushed and sent to recycling facilities, where they are melted down and repurposed for manufacturing. This process not only helps in waste management but also provides affordable spare parts for consumers and reduces the environmental impact of manufacturing new parts.
