How does Automotive Scrapyard work?
An automotive scrapyard operates by acquiring used, damaged, or decommissioned vehicles, often referred to as ‘end-of-life vehicles.’ These vehicles are dismantled to salvage functional parts, which are then cleaned, tested, and sold to consumers or repair shops. The scrapyard adheres to environmental regulations by safely draining hazardous materials such as oils and refrigerants, ensuring these do not harm the environment. The remaining vehicle frame, composed largely of metals, is compressed and sent for recycling. Through this process, automotive scrapyards provide an eco-friendly solution by reducing waste and facilitating the recycling of vehicle components.
