Car Recycling Process
How does car recycling work?
Car recycling involves breaking down a vehicle to recover usable parts and materials in an environmentally friendly manner. The process typically begins with the preparation stage, where hazardous materials such as oils, batteries, and refrigerants are safely removed. Next, the vehicle is dismantled to recover functional components like engines, transmissions, and electronics, which are refurbished and sold as used parts. The remaining metal structure is shredded and separated into ferrous and non-ferrous metals using specialized equipment. These metals are then melted down and processed for reuse in manufacturing. Car recycling not only conserves natural resources by reducing the need for raw materials but also minimizes the environmental impact by safely disposing of or recycling potentially hazardous substances.
