How does Catalytic Converters work?
Catalytic converters are devices used in exhaust systems to reduce harmful emissions. They work by converting toxic gases and pollutants from an internal combustion engine into less harmful emissions through chemical reactions. The main components of the converter include a core with catalysts like platinum, palladium, and rhodium. These catalysts help facilitate chemical reactions that change carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons, and nitrogen oxides into water vapor, carbon dioxide, and nitrogen, which are significantly less harmful to the environment.
