Automotive Scrapyard FAQs
How does an Automotive Scrapyard work?
An automotive scrapyard, also known as a vehicle dismantler or auto recycling center, functions by dismantling and recycling vehicles at the end of their life cycles. When a vehicle is received at a scrapyard, it undergoes a thorough assessment to determine the condition of its parts. Usable parts are removed, tested, and stored for resale. Fluids and hazardous materials are safely drained and disposed of according to environmental regulations. The remaining vehicle is then crushed and sent to a recycling facility where the metal is extracted and processed. This process not only provides a source of affordable auto parts but also contributes to environmental sustainability by reducing waste and promoting the reuse of resources.
