How does Auto Recycling work?
Auto recycling begins when a car reaches the end of its useful life. The process involves dismantling the vehicle to recover usable parts and materials, such as metals, which can be recycled. Initially, reusable components like engines, transmissions, and batteries are extracted for direct resale or refurbishment. Hazardous materials and fluids are carefully drained and disposed of to prevent environmental contamination. The remaining car body is then crushed and sent to a shredder to separate ferrous and non-ferrous metals from other materials. The recovered metals are melted and repurposed for manufacturing new products, reducing the need for virgin resources and minimizing the environmental footprint of automotive production.
