How does an Automotive Scrapyard work?
An automotive scrapyard functions as a recycling center for vehicles that are no longer operational or cost-effective to repair. Upon arrival, a vehicle is evaluated for parts that can be salvaged or resold. Usable components such as engines, transmissions, and other mechanical parts are carefully removed, inspected, and stored for resale. Fluids and hazardous materials are safely extracted to prevent environmental contamination. Once all useful parts are removed, the remaining vehicle frame is typically crushed and sent to recycling facilities to be processed and repurposed into new materials. Scrapyards play a crucial role in reducing waste and promoting sustainable practices within the automotive industry.
