How does Automotive Scrapyard work?
How does an automotive scrapyard work?
An automotive scrapyard, also known as a salvage yard, dismantles decommissioned vehicles to recycle and resell usable parts. The process begins when vehicles are acquired through auctions, donations, or by buying directly from owners. Upon arrival, the vehicle undergoes an assessment to determine which parts are salvageable. Usable parts such as engines, transmissions, doors, and others are removed, cleaned, tested, and stored for resale. The remaining metal is crushed and sold to metal-recycling facilities. This operation not only allows for cost-effective part availability but also supports environmental sustainability by reducing waste and promoting recycling.
