How does Automotive Scrapyard work?
An automotive scrapyard, also known as a salvage yard or junkyard, operates by acquiring inoperable or unwanted vehicles and dismantling them to recover usable parts and materials. First, vehicles are typically evaluated for any viable components that can be resold. This includes engines, transmissions, and other mechanical parts, as well as interior and body parts. Reusable parts are inventoried, cleaned, and stored for sale. The remaining vehicle frame and non-reusable components are then sent for recycling, where they are often crushed and processed to reclaim metals and other materials, reducing environmental waste and supplying raw materials for manufacturing new products.
