Automotive Scrapyard Operations
How does Automotive Scrapyard work?
An automotive scrapyard, also known as a wrecking yard, operates by purchasing end-of-life vehicles, dismantling them, and salvaging usable components. The process begins with acquiring vehicles through auctions, direct purchase, or from owners. Each vehicle is assessed upon arrival, and hazardous materials like fuel or oils are properly disposed of. Parts that are still in good condition are cataloged, cleaned, and stored for resale. The remaining metal frames are then crushed and sold to metal recycling facilities. This system effectively maximizes the reuse of vehicle parts while minimizing environmental impact.
